Question by Timmy63: has anybody out there ever heard of buying REAL ESTATE by the freehold ownership way and the fractional owner?
i want to buy some land and somebody sent me some info saying that i could buy land by the freehold ownership method,and the fractional ownership,method,have anybody out there ever heard of them,two methods to buy land,and if you have ,are they legal and ethical.timmy63

Answer by real estate guy
freehold means that you own the real estate (vs lease hold). And fractional ownership means you own a fraction or part of the real estate.

This sounds like a timeshare. And yes, they are legal, BUT a POOR investment.
