Reporting to the Dean, the Associate/Full Professor position requires administration, teaching, advisement, service, and research/scholarship responsibilities. The position requires a terminal degree. The successful applicant will provide leadership to the department, teach graduate-level courses, be actively involved in extramurally funded research, provide service/outreach to the public health community, serve on committees, and participate in official activities at the college and university levels. The position is a 12-month tenure-track or tenured appointment.
Screening of applications begins October 31st, 2012 and continues until the position is filled. The preferred position starting date is July 1st, 2013. Required Qualifications: ? Earned doctorate (PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD or other relevant doctoral degree) in Community Health/Health Education or other field appropriate for the expertise offered ? Commitment to leadership, teaching, academic program development, research, and service that is consistent with the College?s vision and mission ? Proven record for securing extramural research funding ? Commitment to service within the University, the profession, and community ? Ability to contribute to a positive work environment in the College and University ? Minimum of four years full-time college or university teaching experience at the assistant professor rank required for appointment at the associate professor rank in addition to a strong record of research and service with publications and presentations in professional venues. ? Minimum of five years full-time college or university teaching experience at the associate professor rank required for appointment at the professor rank along with a strong record of research and service with substantial publications and presentations in professional venues.
